Sky, the OBGYN

I take my kids EVERYWHERE with me. So needless to say that since I dragged Sky to every appointment during my last pregnancy, she has seen me sitting on a table covered with a thin sheet of pink paper plenty of times.

I noticed that when we would come home from my OB appointments she would put socks on her hands and inspect Matt and I. For example, she would look closely at our hands and say "do you have ouchy?"

Then after AV was born I went to a regular yearly checkup. As I waited in my paper outfit Sky walked over and stood in front of me. She urged me to open my legs. It was creepy and pretty funny all at the same time. She kept saying "it's ok, I check you" I went home and told Matt that Sky was clearly destined to be an OBGYN.

Recently Sky has started saying "squeeze my hand," "push, push" and "brand new baby girl."
While we usually don't let her watch TV, I did let her watch The Baby Story while I was pregnant to prepare her for AV coming. I still let her watch it sometimes because she gets so excited to see a brand new baby.

Our new game is for me to lay on the floor while she sits next to me holding my hand and yell "squeeze my hand! Push push! Brand new baby girl!!!!!!!" (If only it was that easy in real life) I realize that this is a little strange for a two year old, but it could be the beginning of a bright future...or not, whatever.
